Ice Fishing Tournament
More than any other region in Montana, our NW corner offers unmatched variety when it comes to fishing. There is literally, fishing in every direction! And when winter sets in, our area offers ice fishing opportunities that are the envy of the Midwest States, only with much milder weather. Ice fishing season runs from December through March with several tournaments to test your skills.

Skijoring at Rebecca Farm
Rebecca Farm is hosting its second annual skijoring competition on December 29 – 30, 2018. Skijoring consists of a horse pulling a skier through an obstacle course, while hitting jumps that range in size from three to nine feet high. Watch as competitors race for the purse up to $20,000.

AMA National Championship Snow Bike Series
Round 3 of the AMA National Championship Snow Bike Series will be halt at the Flathead County Fairground in Kalispell. Snow-biking is a winter recreation, where a ski and a lightweight, high-performance track are fitted to modern, off-road motorcycles. It will be a twisting, interesting supercross type track with great spectator viewing under covered grandstands. The AMA event will feature pro classes for men and women as well as trophy classes for racers over 40, kids, and amateur men and women.
Montana Indoor Soccer Championship
The ball will be in play at the second Montana Indoor Soccer Championships on March 15 – 17, 2019. Boys and girls teams, U12 – U19, from across the northwestern United States and western Canada will compete in the indoor soccer tournament at the Flathead County Tradecenter on professional turf. The Montana Indoor Soccer Championships is an opportunity for players to extend their indoor seasons as well as prepare for their spring seasons.
Montana Spartan Race 2019
Try obstacle racing at its toughest at the Montana Spartan Sprint. From beginner trail racers and mud run participants to hardcore warriors, tough guys and marathon runners, they all come out to test themselves on the insane obstacle races! Ninety-nine percent of all people who try this event will finish, and 100 percent will have their thirst for mud & trail racing fully satisfied!

Bigfork Whitewater Festival 2019
Don’t miss the 44nd Annual Bigfork Whitewater Festival. Participants come from around the world to compete in the festival that features extreme whitewater action and community-oriented fun. Spectators have front row seats for the event, with a scenic nature trail paralleling the north side of the Swan River. The last mile of the river is known as the “Wild Mile” a class IV section of whitewater.
The Herron Half: half marathon, 10K and 5K
Join Foy’s to Blacktail Trails for the annual Herron Half. Test your limits at Herron Park on the Half Marathon (13.1), 10K or 5K courses. These races are 100% on dirt and take some grit! More info at Run Flathead.
Foy’s to Blacktail Trails Marathon
This Second Annual Foy’s to Blacktail Trails Marathon will take runners to the top of Blacktail Mountain on September 22, 2019. The race is 26 miles on single and double track trails with 5,000+ feet of climbing and a limit of 50 participants.
All proceeds from the race will go to the construction and maintenance of the Foy’s to Blacktail Trail and future trails built by the Foy’s to Blacktail Trails Organization. Sign up today!
