Kalispell hosted the 2016 Montana Governor’s Conference on Tourism and Recreation. Dawn and the others at the Kalispell CVB were a pleasure to work with from beginning to end and were always highly responsive. Due to the size of the conference, various functions occurred at two different properties. The CVB helped us to manage the complex logistics associated with transporting the record 475 attendees from one property to the other. The CVB’s business and community contacts were highly valuable for helping us to coordinate tours of the area. By engaging with every step of planning and execution, the CVB became more than just a resource but an integrated part of the team. It truly extended our capacity to produce a successful event.

MT Governor's Conference on Tourism

In my 11 years of conference planning, I’ve worked with CVB’s in 10 different locations and I can say that Dawn Jackson and the KCVB are among the top three of the best I have worked with. The team came up with great marketing ideas-including incentives to get attendees to Kalispell and implemented them successfully. They put incredible effort into making sure the area was presented in an inviting manner and that POMA members would be welcomed during their stay.

I knew that if I ran into problems, all I had to do was put in a call to Dawn and she would help me or point me in the right direction. Having that support is critical to me and my sanity during the planning of this event. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention Vonnie Day and her amazing efforts to garner volunteers that are also critical to the success of our event. One particular volunteer, Tina Laude, was literally a lifeline for my staff and I on several occasions. Her enthusiasm and willingness to do whatever needed to be done was appreciated more than she could ever imagine.

Highly recommending this area and this team, to any future event planner considering Kalispell. This isn’t said lightly-holding a successful event for POMA and our members is my number one priority and we can expect the world when it comes to doing so. I would do it again with Kalispell Convention and Visitor Bureau.

Shelly Moore

Professional Outdoor Media Association (POMA)

It was very clear early in the process that Kalispell Convention and Visitors Bureau was going to be very helpful in selecting the best location at a price our association could afford and were willing to assist in any way possible. Rob Brisendine gave me a tour of all the potential locations and prepared and sent out a request for proposal (RFP). We ended up selecting the Hilton Garden Inn for our conference. It is a very nice facility and the staff was friendly and easy to work with. We received a lot of positive feedback from the attendees and were very pleased with the way the conference turned out. I would definitely recommend Kalispell as a great place to hold a conference.
