Kalispell is a great place for kids of all ages. Indoors or outdoors, there’s plenty to see and do.
Park it — Kalispell is surrounded by national forests and parks. But it’s pretty green inside the city limits as well. Pick from our best park options.
Woodland Park — Kalispell’s historic park has a great new twist with a skate park and water park. Its 40 acres also have playgrounds, picnic pavilions, a lagoon (take time to feed the ducks) and beautiful gardens.
Lawrence Park — Toss a couple of Frisbees and play a round or two of disc golf beside the Stillwater River. Or simply hike the trail, enjoy the playground or start a pick-up ballgame.
Slice it — After a morning outdoors, stop by MacKenzie River Pizza for pizza, sandwiches, pasta or salad.
Bike it — Start at Wheaton’s Cycle Shop where they will outfit you with rental bikes and gear. Then start peddling along the Rails to Trails route. Go west toward Kila or south to Somers and Flathead Lake.
Cool it — Finish your day with a scoop of handmade ice cream at Sweet Peaks where the 16 flavors range from classic (Madagascar Vanilla) to creative (Avocado Lime).
Winter fun – The best way to enjoy winter is to embrace it! Kids love ice skating, sledding, snowshoeing, skiing or building a snow man.
