Summer at Whitefish Mountain

Head for the Whitefish Mountain Resort for a day of warm-weather outdoor adventure.  Everyone can enjoy the mountain-top views, whether traveling by foot, zip line, mountain bike or gondola.

Downhill Rush — For older kids and adults, the zip line will take you rushing downhill. Smaller children will love taking the alpine slide with mom or dad.

Take it slow — Hike the Danny On Trail and pick some huckleberries in season. The trail takes you through forests and fields as it travels to the summit (6,817 ft.) where the view makes it worth every step.

Take it easy — An easier way to the summit for those spectacular views is on the chair lift. Gondolas are also available.  Hop aboard and ride to the top. Two chairlifts are equipped to take mountain bikes. Bring your bike to the top and ride down!

Enjoy the view — While you’re enjoying the view, eat lunch at the Summit House. Then visit the Summit Nature Center and test your knowledge of animal footprints, learn about wildflowers or become a Junior Forest Ranger.

Spider Monkey Mountain – A wondrous 4-story webbed tower. Kids 4 and up can climb up and shoot down the giant slide or climb back down through the webbing.

Walk in the Treetops — Did you ever wonder what the world looks like from up above? Learn about the forest that surrounds you during this 2 ½ hour nature walk on an elevated boardwalk suspended in the trees. It’s the only walk of its kind in the United States!
